Exhalation of the Trees: In this exhibition, celebrated textile artist Catriona Pollard explores our connection and disconnection with nature by shape-shifting natural forms into shapes that celebrate the abundance of nature. Transforming found organic material into sculptures, Catriona creates moments for people to view the natural world around them in a different way. Learn Sculptural Basketry with Catriona Pollard: Participants will learn the basketry technique of Random Weaving, transforming natural found objects such as Bangalow Palm seedpods into a sculptural form, whilst developing a deeper understanding of the art of weaving and their own creativity. Birds from Wire and Wool: In this workshop children will use wire to make a 3D form before wrapping it in colourful wool to create a bird sculpture. Details: Tuesday 9 October, 1.30pm – 3.30pm; Cost: $15 per child; Bookings: mosmanartgallery.org.au/tags/kids

 

Botanical Watercolour Mandalas: In this workshop children will arrange flowers and leaves collected from the Mackie Lane Community Garden and work with watercolours to create a mandala. Details: Thursday 11 October, 1.30pm – 3.30pm; Cost: $15 per child; Bookings: mosmanartgallery.org.au/tags/kids
