Shells and 3D Shibori Scarf workshop

Shells exhibition: Barbara Rogers, Irene Manion, Beth Hatton, Liz Gemmell and Kathleen Berney celebrate the exquisite beauty and diversity of shells. Using textile processes, they re-imagine shell structures and markings, revealing the inner dynamic of patterns of growth – multiplication, repetition and variety, division and all-embracing unity.

Exhibition: Wednesday 3 October – Saturday 20 October; Opening: Wednesday 10 October 5.30pm – 8pm, Free

3D Shibori Scarf workshop with Liz Gemmell: Students will learn how to manipulate the fabric using the Te-kumo shibori technique to form 3D sculptural shapes inside the fabric and to form peaks along the edges using a heat set process. 10 spots available and all materials and equipment will be provided.

Workshop: Saturday 13 October, 1pm – 3pm; Cost: $10
