Make Your Own Teapot!: This hands-on pottery class will introduce you to the basics of hand building using clay to make a functional teapot!

The class will cover the following: Overview of different clay types and their uses, hand building techniques for shaping clay, assembling different clay components, how and why ceramics are glazed and fired. You'll also get to choose the glaze colour of the teapot you make, which will then be fired.

Introduction to Pottery Wheel Throwing: Discover the magic of throwing clay on a potter’s wheel in this hands-on introductory class designed for beginners. The class will cover the following: Overview of the components and operation of a pottery wheel, why and how clay is prepared before throwing, throwing techniques including centering, opening and raising, throwing different types of shapes.

You will make three pieces including a cup, bowl and plate. You'll also get to choose the glaze colour for each of the pieces you make, which will then be fired.
