Pinot 'n' Purl

Pinot 'n' Purl - The Pussy Hat Project by Shared Threads

Women of all ages benefit from building connections with other woman. Craft is a traditional way of facilitating bonds between women and building community. This project invites women and their daughters, nieces, sisters, neighbours to gather together to knit a pussy hat and connect as the Pussy Hat Project connected so many women across the world through the internet and traditional craft.

Shared Threads invites you to join us for an evening of Pinot and Purl for Craft Up Late as part of Sydney Craft Week. Gather with us for an indulgent evening knit over a glass of wine and some tasty nibbles and feast your senses whilst connecting with other stitchers. Find your people. Learn to knit or crochet. Rekindle dormant skills or just drop in for a chat. You know you want to. We will be have kits available to purchase so you can make your own iconic PInk Pussyhat - a full sized one for yourself or your Mum or perhaps a mini-one to replace the dice hanging on the dash or to put on the Christmas Tree or a cosy for your teapot or boiled egg or perhaps the cat. Or bring your Work In Progress. Bring together the whimsical and the political and join us for a spot of Craft(ivism) Up Late.
